ANYTHING BUT ORDINARY… TEXAS, ENGLAND, IRAN AND EVERYWHERE IN BETWEEN…
I left Texas on my own at the age of 12 to attend an eccentric and rebellious boarding school in England. It was the best thing that ever happened to me! There, my classic British education was imbued with a slightly non-conformist inclination. Many years in the Wiltshire countryside informed my love of nature and conservation, as well as a penchant for cheeky wallpaper.
My appreciation and understanding of art evolved at Vassar College, where I graduated Magna Cum Laude with a degree in Art History and French. My next stop was Paris, where, owing to the generosity of the Skinner Arts Fellowship, I did extended research on the Surrealist movement.
After a decade of hustling in the New York City art world, I sold everything to embark on a global adventure, traveling and living in both Europe and South America. This semi-nomadic existence has given me an eclectic eye, a love of diverse cultures, as well as an ethos for sustainability.
Eventually I put down roots in California and decided to pursue a more pragmatic dual career in Design and Real Estate. I love the balance of purpose-driven business and creativity. Living in the Santa Monica Mountains with my children allows me to be close to nature each day. Plus, I have achieved a life goal of learning to surf. The Pacific Ocean is my sanctuary that keeps me inspired to be a voice for environmental sustainability and wellness.
